How to use a smartphone to find your parked car | Gadgets Now

Do you always have trouble remembering where exactly you have parked your car inside a shopping complex? Google Maps can help you remember your parked car location and also navigate you to it.

Using Google Maps, you can pin the location of your car parking locations and ask Google Assistant to find your car or simply tap on the pin to start the navigation. iOS users can do the same using Apple Maps. Let’s find out how.

  • Latest version of Google Maps and Google app
  • Smartphone running Android Marshmallow or above/ iOS 10 or above.
  • Enable the location services.
  • Google Assistant should have access to all the required permissions.

Save the parking location

First you will need to save the parking location. Open Google Maps on your phone after you are parked and tap on your current location which is represented by the Blue Pin on the map. Tapping on it will bring three options, choose the Save Your Parking option. Here you can also add more details such as parking number, photos of the parking and more.

Alternatively, you can ask Google Assistant to remember your parking location by saying Remember where I have parked.
