Amidst the continuing disaster because of the outbreak of COVID-19 in India, luxurious carmaker Mercedes-Benz reported gross sales of two,386 models within the first quarter of this 12 months. While this displays a decline as towards the three,885 models that it offered within the first quarter of 2019, the gross sales are laudable contemplating the present surroundings of the business.
Martin Schwenk, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India mentioned, “We started 2020 on a high note and our existing, as well as newly launched products, continued to draw customer traction till the time sales came to a complete stop, due to the current COVID-19 pandemic situation.”
Schwenk added that in these tough instances, the corporate’s primary focus is to make sure the well being and security of its workers, clients, sellers, enterprise companions and the group round. “At Mercedes-Benz we are doing our best to support all our stakeholders through varied initiatives and measures, so that all of us can emerge stronger than ever before, especially during this period of crisis”, Schwenk knowledgeable.
