Since then, apart from emergency landings and personal flights, no Israeli plane has landed in Turkey. On Sunday, El Al’s Dreamliner plane, transformed to hold cargo, landed in Istanbul.
It was loaded there with 24 tonnes of humanitarian coronavirus tools, destined for Israel and the US. So far, El Al has acquired approval from the Turkish authorities to function two flights for humanitarian functions and is awaiting approval to function cargo flights frequently.
