“In situations like these, companies do not manage to growth or profitability but to liquidity. That means our singular focus is on cash flow. We are examining all our fixed costs and looking for ways to minimize them,” he stated.
Dutta stated IndiGo’s plan publish lockdown might be going ahead to first begin the providers and steadily ramp up the capability.
“We have always been very safety conscious and now we must be health-conscious as well. With this in mind, we are looking at changing many of our operating procedures. The new set of procedures have not been finalized yet.
“But we’ll deep clear our plane extra steadily, we might be discontinuing meal service for a short interval and we’ll run our coaches at a most load of 50% capability. We might be popping out with the brand new set of working procedures very quickly,” Dutta stated in an electronic mail to staff on Friday.
India has imposed a 21-day lockdown until April 14 to curb the coronavirus pandemic. Consequently, all home and worldwide industrial passenger flights have been suspended for this time interval.
However, cargo flights, offshore helicopter operations, medical evacuation flights and particular flights permitted by Indian aviation regulator DGCA are permitted to function in the course of the lockdown.
