Resumption of worldwide flights shall be thought of on a case-by-case foundation after India’s lockdown ends and can rely upon which nations they’re coming from, Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Singh Puri mentioned on Thursday.
“Any incoming flights to bring Indians back home will have to await the lifting of the lockdown,” he informed reporters at a press convention.
“The lockdown is till April 15. And, we can start considering the resumption of flights on a case-by-case basis depending on where they are coming from after that,” Puri mentioned.
India is beneath a 21-day lockdown until April 14 and due to this fact, all home and worldwide business passenger flights have been suspended for this time interval.
However, cargo flights, medical evacuation flights, offshore helicopter operations and flights specifically permitted by the aviation regulator DGCA can function throughout this time interval.
