Bajaj Dominar 400 UG (2019): Featured With Powerful Engine

India Based Bajaj Auto Limited is working on the updated version of Dominar 400. The previous version was released in December 2016 it was also an impressive bike that offers a better experience to its users. The limitation of the 2016 version has overcome in 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 UG. This time Dominar has come up with more power from its engine and new paint scheme.

Its muscular look and performance placed it top in the Indian market. Bajaj Dominar 400 UG is even stronger than its previous version. There are some minor changes in its hardware and cosmetics are also updated. Let’s take a close look at the updated features and specifications of the new Bajaj Dominar 400 UG.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Price:

As we all know that the Bajaj Dominar 400 UG is the improved product of Dominar 400. The price of the bike has also increased with new components and features. The expected price of Bajaj Dominar 400 UG in India is Rs. 1.80lakh (Ex-Showroom Price Delhi).

The on-road price of the bike has not been released yet by the company. 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 booking will be available soon.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Launched Date:

According to sources, this sleek design cruiser is expected to be launched in April 2019. The expected date is not released yet.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Design:

The design of the updated version is somewhat similar to its predecessor with small visual changes. The paint scheme of the Dominar 400 UG is green and black with silver highlights, irrespective of the gold finish. The new D-logo is added on the fuel tank and internal headlamps are slightly changed with a new appearance. A little bit change in its shades and the rest of the design has kept unchanged.

Rear view mirror is now wider and made up of cast aluminum. The side stand of the bike is also revised. Its tank pad is also redesigned. Its side stand is made up of forged steel, which is stronger than its elder sibling. The looks of the tail light reflector are also revised.

The new Dominar is featured with a more powerful liquid-cooled 373.3cc engine. This time, the engine has received new DOHC setup along with an ECU retune. The liquid-cooled unit gets dual overhead cams which was earlier single in the previous variant. It generates power of 40bph at 8650 RPM from 5 bhp. The torque produced by the bike is 35Nm, similar to the old Dominar 400. However, the torque peaks up to 7,000rpm.

The exhaust of the bike is also upgraded that offer better service than its predecessor. The new dual-exhaust sounds better and we can say this time it is refined in a better way. It also mates with six-speed gearbox with an improved in-gear acceleration. The fuel tank capacity is 13-liter.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Mileage, Top Speed, and Colour:

This cruiser draws a lot of power from the engine that definitely impacts its mileage. You can surely enjoy its ride but it burns more fuel. The average mileage provided by the bike is 16kmpl on informal roads. On the highway, its mileage is 20kmpl.

The leaked images show the paint scheme of the bike. Color option of Bajaj Dominar 400 UG is limited. According to sources, it is available in two-shades that is Green and Black.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Upgraded Instrumentation:

The 2016 Dominar’s main screen was LCD-type but in the 2019 Bajaj Dominor 400, both the display are LCD. The screen display gives more information. The main screen shows speed, odometer, tacometer, side stand indicator, and engine kill switch.

As a change, the second screen shows a gear position indicator and clock. Dynamic fuel display and service due indicator is also added in its instrumental system. We can say that it is embedded with a fully digital infotainment system.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Added New Components (Brakes and Suspension):

Dominar 400 UG is featured with a bit more new components. The suspension of the bike is more complex this time. At the front end, telescopic forks are replaced with Upside Down forks. The rear side uses the same monoshock forks.

The braking system of the bike is almost same with 320 mm disc at front and 230mm disc at the rear end. The bike is featured with dual-channel ABS which is compulsory as per the norms.

Bajaj Dominar 400 UG Dimensions and Tyres:

The new Dominar is a naked sporty bike with a 184kg weight that is more than its previous model.  The wheel of the bike follow the same diamond-cut shape with front tyre dimension 110/70-17 and the rear side tyre is of size 150/60-17. Dominar 2400 UG is heavier and wider than its predecessor. Other dimensions are as follows:

You can comfortably ride this cruiser at high speed on the highway. It is the best bike for a long drive because its rider never feels tired soon.
